چکیده
We study the stabilization and electrical manipulation of skyrmions in magnetic ultrathin films absence an applied field. show that this requires increased anisotropy, controlled by sample thickness, as compared to usual skyrmionic samples, so uniform state corresponds zero-field ground metastable excitations. Although skyrmion at zero field is demonstrated over a broad range thicknesses, control appears be more demanding avoid deformation. In thinnest large anisotropy prevents deformations we they can nucleated progressively current pulses, which underlines only possible transition occurs between states. The solitonic have same properties field-stabilized ones, with long-term stability high mobility when excited spin-orbit torque.

Parahydrogen-induced polarization at zero magnetic field.
We use symmetry arguments and simple model systems to describe the conversion of the singlet state of parahydrogen into an oscillating sample magnetization at zero magnetic field. During an initial period of free evolution governed by the scalar-coupling Hamiltonian HJ, the singlet state is converted into scalar spin order involving spins throughout the molecule. A short dc pulse along the z ax...

We prove a theorem on the magnetic energy minimum in a system of perfect, or ideal, conductors. It is analogous to Thomson’s theorem on the equilibrium electric field and charge distribution in a system of conductors. We first prove Thomson’s theorem using a variational principle. Our new theorem is then derived by similar methods. We find that magnetic energy is minimized when the current dist...
متن کاملField-dependent size and shape of single magnetic Skyrmions.
The atomic-scale spin structure of individual isolated Skyrmions in an ultrathin film is investigated in real space by spin-polarized scanning tunneling microscopy. Their axial symmetry as well as their unique rotational sense is revealed by using both out-of-plane and in-plane sensitive tips. The size and shape of Skyrmions change as a function of the magnetic field. An analytical expression f...

The oxygen evolution reaction generally exists in electrochemical reactions. It is a ubiquitous problem about how to control the motion of oxygen bubbles released by the reaction. Here we show that oxygen bubbles during oxygen evolution reaction exhibit a variety of movement patterns in the magnetic field, including directional migration and rotational motion of oxygen bubbles when the magnet i...
